Sam Gillespie – Founder & Director
Sam is the founder and creative director of Matchbox Film Co. A camera addict, BBQ-lover and travel fanatic – Sam doesn’t take himself too seriously and is always the one cracking jokes to make people at ease in front of the camera.
Leaving behind a sales & marketing career in consumer goods in 2017 to set up Matchbox, Sam approaches every project with both a creative and commercial mindset, ensuring that client’s goals and marketing objectives are always considered as part of a project strategy.
Sam is also a CAA-approved drone operator.
Matchbox Film Co wouldn’t be the creative video production company it is without our fantastic team of individual creatives who make every shoot possible.
Although the production crew for each project depends on the client brief & requirements, every Matchbox team member shares the Matchbox Film Co values of being positive, providing a quality service and being professional.
Rufus - Producer and Camera Operator
Rufus is not only our go-to gimbal ninja, he’s also possibly the most organised person you could ever meet – we’re very glad that he’s our Notion expert.
George - Camera Operator & Editor
George is a fantastic camera operator & editor, sometimes using a Starlink internet connection to edit remotely from his converted campervan.
Daniel - Gaffer & Camera Assistant
Dan is our lighting expert and has been working with Matchbox since the very start. Dan is a talented gaffer and spark, as well as being a fan of surfing and cars.
Konstantin - Camera Operator
Apart from often winning “best dressed”, Konstanin or “Kosta” is a talented camera operator and creative.
Ben - Video Editor
Ben is one of our London-based video editor, having worked on a range of projects for Matchbox.
Luke - Video Editor
Luke is one of video editors and, as you can probably tell from his photo, is a travel-lover!
Finley - Camera Assistant
Finley is one of our go-to London-based lighting & camera assistants and brings his TV experience to Matchbox sets.
