Opera – Browser Days Bath

With over 100 attendees from more than 15 countries across 4 continents, Norway-based web browser company Opera asked us – Bath-based video production company Matchbox Film Co – to capture their unforgettable four-day event held in Bath and Bristol for tech journalists and bloggers.

Julia Szyndzielorz, Director of Global Communications at Opera, described the event as Opera’ “biggest press event to date”, in which the Opera PR team and journalists “took Bath and Bristol by storm for a day full of nerdiness and everything browsers. Let’s be honest: We properly geeked out!”

This was a big event with a lot of moving parts, but by partnering with Matchbox Film Co Opera had a turnkey solution on the ground in the UK, with extensive experience of offering Corporate Video Production Services for the likes of Danone and Vodafone.

Attendees not only got to explore Stonehenge, but also had a gala dinner under the wings of the legendary Concorde at Aerospace Bristol, sipped prosecco while wandering around the ancient Roman Baths, and also heard talks from Opera employees on the shared progress Opera have across thier browsers, security & AI.

This corporate video production was filmed across Bath and Bristol by Matchbox Film Co, and each day a nimble crew of 2-3 camera operators covered the event.

The Matchbox Film Co team were on a tight deadline for video editing in this case, working swiftly post-event to deliver same-day and next-day photos for press, as well as getting an edited film out into the world whilst the buzz surrounding this fantastic event was fresh in the minds of all involved.
