Producing a Global Launch Film for Kamado Joe

Matchbox Film Co has been working closely with luxury ceramic grill makers Kamado Joe since 2021. We were stoke when, at the end of 2024, the brand tasked us with creating their global launch film for their latest piece of innovation – the Konnected Big Joe.

The Konnected Big Joe is the result of years of constant innovation by the brand and comes on the back of the success of the launch the year prior of the Kamado Joe Konnected Joe (Classic Size).

The challenge the Matchbox production crew had was that, at the time of shooting, there was only 1x unit in Europe – and the grill weighs nearly 200kg! As such, we had to erect a small blacked-out studio at the Kamado Joe Warehouse in Havant, Hampshire.
